Dr. Luigi, MD, MPH., is a physician, researcher, and public health expert with over 15 years of experience in health services, management, and policy. He earned his medical degree from the Christian University of Indonesia and his Masters in Public Health from Gadjah Mada University. He began his career as a general practitioner at the Pancoran and Mampang Prapatan Community Health Centers, before being entrusted to lead the Cilandak District Community Health Center. He then served as Deputy Director of Medical Services at the Duren Sawit Mental Hospital and held strategic positions at the Jakarta Provincial Health Office, including as Head of the Health Services Division and Head of the Public Health Division. This extensive experience has shaped his expertise in managing urban health services and formulating public policy. At the academic level, Dr. Luigi actively introduces digital innovations, including electronic medical records and the e-Jiwa mental health service application. His work has been presented at international forums, such as the World Hospital Congress in Brisbane (2018) and Muscat (2019), as well as the Southeast Mental Health Forum in Bangkok (2019). He is also involved in professional associations, including the Indonesian Hospital Management Experts Association and the Jakarta Metropolitan Hospital Association. He also has humanitarian experience as a volunteer during the 2004 Aceh Tsunami, the 2006 Yogyakarta Earthquake, and Hurricane Katrina in the United States. With a clinical background, managerial leadership, and academic contributions, Dr. Luigi focuses on strengthening adaptive and innovative health systems. His commitment is to bridging policy, research, and innovation to improve the quality of health services in Indonesia.
